YDMA is proud to announce an interaction with Mr. Kiran Karnik under the ‘Leadership Lessons’ series on May 23rd at 4.00 pm. Dr Karnik is among India’s tallest leaders who accomplished an equivalent of multiple careers in one! He worked with ISRO during its formative years launching award-winning educational initiatives; launched Discovery channel and Animal Planet in India; led Nasscom to global prominence as its second President; and chaired Satyam Computers to restore its credibility and find it a new home. He has been conferred Padma Shri by Government of India, Frank Malina medal for Space Education by International Astronautical Federation, and was adjudged Forbes’ ‘Face of the Year’ in 2003. He was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. He has written several books including Decisive Decade, Crooked Minds – Creating an Innovative Society and Evolution: Decoding India’s Disruptive Tech Story. Mr. Karnik will draw upon his long and illustrious career to share what are the prerequisites and characteristics of true leadership.
